Issues With 'Recently Played' And Ads

Spotify app for Mac.

For some reason, lately I'm getting an ad break of 2-3 ads every 2-3 songs, which is way more than usual. I think it has something to do with my recently played songs, which shows a lot of greyed out songs in between songs that I've actually listened to. Example:

Does Spotify think I'm listening to extra songs, which is why more ads are playing?

Thanks for the post!

Song become grayed out like that if they are removed from the platform due to licensing issues. 

We'd recommend you keep the video ad in focus and do not navigate to another app, browser, etc. Also, make sure you're not accidentally clicking the "No, thanks" button when prompted to watch the ad. As this can trigger ads more often.

Let us know if the issue still persists after doing this for some time.
