Issues with Spotify desktop v. 1.0.1.1060 for Mac

Hi,

Every since the most recent update I've noticed that songs can take up to 15 seconds to play when I select them in the client. Everything is also very slow / sluggish and the theme is way too dark. Additionally the search/filter from within playlists seems to have disappeared. 

Not impressed here at all with this update. 

Please advise on a fix. I'm a premium user.
