Liked song list plays from start at random

When trying to play songs from my "Liked Songs" list it randomly decides to play the songs from the start of the list. It can be after 5 songs or 20 songs, but it will go all the way to the top of the "Liked Songs" list, essentially playing the first songs in that list on a loop unless I manually choose the songs. I have tried the basic Mac troubleshooting tips which didn't work. Note that this only applies to the "Liked Songs" list and not any of my other playlists.
