Logging into Spotify on Mac with Fb

My Question or Issue

I am trying to log into my Spotify that is installed on my mac and I keep getting an error message:

Access to login.spotify.com was denied

You don't have authorization to view this page.

HTTP ERROR 403

It's driving me nuts. I'm logged in on my iPhone and I'm able to log in on the web. Any ideas?

That doesn't sound cool.

Have you tried reinstalling your app to see if that fixes this issue? If not here's a step by step tutorial.

Hi @sbajikha!

I just had the same problem and it drove me nuts too, but I found the way to solve it. If you are still able to log in on the web, set a device password: https://www.spotify.com/account/set-device-password/

You will get an email with your username and a link to set your password. After you've set your password, use your username (it's made out of numbers) and the password to log into your account on the Spotify app. If your Facebook account is still connected to Spotify then that's it, you should be able to see your playlists and your Facebook profile info. If not, go to Settings on the Menu, then Social and connect your Facebook account.
