[Mac] Some Spotify Songs Play but Not All

Device: Macbook Pro mid-2014

I am pretty sure the songs that Spotify allows me to play are ones I've played before. Other songs will not play, the timestamp will remain at 0:00, and the icon will show a black record. This happened to me a few times before and I usually just clear the cache from my Library and redownload Spotify, but I tried that this time, and it worked for like 2 songs and repeated it's weird behavior. Does anybody know why I can only play some songs, and the rest I can't? By the way, the majority of songs I can't play.
