My Question or Issue
Alright, so I've been trying to play song on spiffy and... it doesn't work?
maybe not completely but after 7 seconds of song it just turns off, and doesn't play anymore. reinstalling didn't worked, as well as deleting cache files on Mac.
I tried web version and it works perfectly fine. how about finally fixing your app?
Hey @user-removed,
Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!
We'd recommend that you try clearing any entries containing Spotify from the host files on your computer. Follow the guide in this post.
After that run a clean reinstall of the app, as described here.
Let us know if the issue continues after that.
Hey @user-removed,
Thanks for the reply.
Can you try re-uploading those files?
Also, do you mean your downloads were deleted or your whole music library (playlists, liked songs, artists etc.) has disappeared.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hi @user-removed,
Thanks for the reply.
If all your music is gone, you're most likely logged in another account. This happens sometimes if you've logged in with Apple or Facebook. Check out this article, it might help with remembering the log in details to your original account.
Sending links too Google would be great.
Hi again @user-removed,
Thanks for this info.
If possible, could you ask a friend or a family member to log in to their personal account using your device to see if they can replicate this?
You could also give it a try using another internet connection.
Let us know how it goes.
Hey @user-removed,
Thanks for your reply and for letting us know that it works fine on your phone.
We'd like to see if the same thing happens when you log in with a different account on your Mac. This can help us take a deeper look into the issue.
If you don't have one at the moment, you can create a new test account here.
We'll be on the lookout.

Hey again @user-removed,
Thanks for your reply.
If you already have an account with this email address, you can reset your password here in order to access the account.
In case you're unable to do this, you can try with a different email address.
Keep us posted.
Hi @user-removed,
Not to worry. If you're unsure, you can give it a try to see if you're able to log in. You can also use a different email address.
If possible, could you also give it a try using a different computer just to see if the issue persists?
Let us know how it goes.
Hi @user-removed,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
In this case, we'd recommend making sure that your Mac has enough storage space available.
Also, remember to let us know if you were able to test this using a different connection.
We'll be on the lookout.
Hi again @user-removed,
Thanks for getting back to us with this info and for trying the things we've suggested.
Do you notice anything new after restarting your computer?
You can also start up your Mac in safe mode to see if it makes any difference.
We'll be right here.
Hi again @user-removed,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Could you try disabling/enabling Hardware acceleration?
Also, let us know the exact app version you're currently running.
Keep us posted.
