Mac app looses focus in text field when typing an inbox message

Brief description of the issue:

I was typing a message in the inbox and the app kept loosing focus in the text field. I would notice it as I would hit space and the music would stop and I could see some of my last letters were not typed.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Went to reply to a message in my inbox
2. Start typing, after a while the focus will no longer be on the text field

What steps you’ve tried already:

I went through all letters to see if any one in particualr triggered the behavior but it seems random. First 'j'  was the last letter I typed. However when trying again 'j' worked fine. It seems it's a timed issue. Or possibly random.
