Mac desktop app unable to play songs after manually picking a few tracks?

Mac desktop app unable to play songs after manually picking a few tracks?

I've found that, as of the latest update, I can no longer pick more than a few songs manually (i.e. by double clicking on them) before Spotify refuses to load more tracks. Allowing playlists to play through without intervention works fine though. If I try to drag the transport controller on a song that refuses to play, Spotify starts giving me negative numbers for the current track time on the left side of the controller. Fixing the problem requires a force quit (Spotify will hang if I try to quit normally when this issue occurs). Has anyone experienced this issue or found a workaround? It's a super annoying bug.

First of all, could you confirm the following details for us:

1. Desktop OS

2. Spotify app version installed

 

It's also worth doing a quick clean reinstallation if you haven't already.
