Macbook Air (2022) on OS Ventura (version 13.0.1), spotify keeps freezing

For the last ~6-8wks on my Macbook Air (2022) on OS Ventura (version 13.0.1), Spotify will crash/freeze at least 1x/d or more frequently. No error message and all buttons become unresponsive which requires "force quit" in order to get Spotify to respond again. I have tried turning on/off the computer, re-installing Spotify, turning on/off hardware acceleration. I am on a home wifi network and have a fast internet speed. Sounds similar to this post - https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Spotify-freezing-without-crashing/td-p/4364070 as well as some others I found under the PC headings. Any other input would be welcome to try and fix this!

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. We understand you've tried reinstalling the app on the affected device, but just to confirm, did you try a clean reinstall of the app on your computer? If you haven't, we'd suggest you follow these steps to do it.

On another note, would you mind checking if perhaps your computer has some pending OS updates? If yes, try updating it to check if you notice any difference.

Lastly, do you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.
