Macbook won't sync new songs saved from Android

As I discover new bands or new songs are released I will save and download them via my Android phone. When I get home and turn on Spotify from my MacBook none of the new songs will be in my library (I don't expect the files to be saved for offline, just accessible through my library). I've tried logging out and force quitting the app. Songs still won't appear in my library. Both devices are always connected to the internet.
