Media Keys on TouchBar are not working with Spoftify

My Question or Issue

The global Media Keys are not responding to Spotify, even if Spotify is running and playing.

One thing I did when I first got the MacBook was to disable iTunes from responding to Media Keys. 

Any ideas on how to fix this issue or if anyone else is facing the same problem?

Have you tried reinstalling Spotify?

I actually figured out the problem. I previously ran a command that would prevent iTunes from responding to Media Keys. I thought it would only affect iTunes, but obviously it affected Spotify as well.

I did same before, this command fixed it for me

launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.rcd.plist

Turns out I did the same thing as @AboulEinei above in the process of trying to prevent Apple Music from opening up independently (sigh... different issue that has yet to be solved).

I ran this command that @tecpriest posted in Terminal and my media button issues was fixed immediately. Thank you so much, @tecpriest!!!! You rock!!
