New bug in 1.0.2.6: Click album art to go to current song does not work

New bug in 1.0.2.6: Click album art to go to current song does not work

Description

In previous versions of Spotify desktop for Mac, the user could click the album art in the lower left corner to navigate to the currently playing song in the current playlist. With the upgrade to 1.0.2.6.g9977a14b, this function no longer works as expected.

A more detailed description, using numbered steps

1. I started playing a song in a playlist I created.

2. Shuffle is on.

3. The next song played is located off-screen (further down the playlist).

4. I click the album art.

What I expected to happen

I expected the currently playing playist to be displayed to me on the screen, the scroll location such that I can see the currently playing song, and the currently playing song has green text with grey background and a playing icon.

What actually happened

  • If I have not havigated away from the currently playing playlist, the visible part of the playing playlist does not change to the currect scroll location. I cannot see the current song.
  • If I have navigated away from the currently playing playlist, the active playlist changes to the currently playing playlist, but the scroll location is at the top of the list, no matter where in the list the currently playing song is located. I cannot see the current song.

Hello there,

That will be fixed in a next update (no date known yet).

I can confirm this happens on Windows too. Very useful feature, I used it a lot because of my long playlists.

This is still an issue 158 versions later. Are you ever going to fix this bug?
