No 64-bit Mac version?

Hi,

i was quite surprised when I noticed that the Mac version for desktop is only a 32-bit application. When will the 64-bit application be released? 

Additionally, I am also looking forward to some built in AirPlay streaming in the future.

I would like a 64-bit version too, as would a lot of other folks (without even knowing).

According to Apple, starting the first 32-bit app on 64-bit OS X requires loading the 32-bit versions of lots of frameworks in memory again, next to the 64-bit versions.

As Spotify is the last 32-bit app on my machine, the total amount of memory it requires (Spotify itself + 32-bit frameworks) is much more than would be neccesary if it was compiled as 64-bit.

now that chrome (spotify embeds chrome browser) for mac released 64 bit, we can expect spotify to catch up in 3 years.

I can't believe this has been unanswered for nearly 3 years.

I refuse to use spotify on my new MBP until there is a 64 bit version available.
