After the most recent Spotify for Mac update (1.1.65.643.g2d707698-a) an issue has arisen where disliked songs do not show grayed out or have the "circle with minus" icon like they used to. This can be observed in playlists such as "Discover Weekly" and "Release Radar". I logged onto the web version of Spotify and they still show correctly there. I then did a full reinstall of the Mac app, however it did not correct the issue. So it seems the issue is with this latest update. Please see screenshot showing the difference and advise what can be done to correct this as it makes seeing songs in my library difficult.
Hey there @sdschramm,
Thanks for the post!
From the look of those screenshots it's still possible to Dislike songs in the Release Radar on Desktop from the bottom left corner of the Now Playing View.
We've reached out to the teams backstage to check whether this design change was intended or is it's an issue with the latest release. We'll let you know here as soon as we have more information.
Cheers.
I don't think you understand the problem.
I'm able to "dislike" songs, but it does not show the indication of being grayed out and the (-) like it used to in the desktop app. It still works fine in the web version however.
Hey @sdschramm,
Thanks for the clarification.
We've reached out to the teams backstage about this change. We'll let you know here as soon as we can confirm this is an intended UI change or not 🙂
Cheers.
Why would something like this be considered "an intended UI change" - it's clearly a bug
Disliked "discover weekly" songs are also no longer skipped on the mac app which is extremely frustrating.
Hi folks,
Thanks for the posts.
@sdschramm, this seems to be a design decision for the latest update.
@anotheruser1, can you clarify exactly what happens with the disliked songs on your "Discover Weekly". Note that this thread is discussing the removal of the minus icon in certain views.
Cheers.
As of version "Spotify for macOS (Intel) 1.1.67.586.gbb5ef64e" it seems to be fixed.

I sure hope this doesn't become broken again.
