My Question or Issue

So I’ve been dealing with a different problem mentioned in a separate thread (see here)  and as soon as that got fixed, the web browser let me play three songs and then moved to the next but no audio was playing. I’ve clicked around onto other songs and the audio didn’t play for any of them. Every time I click a song, the bar starts moving but there’s no sound, and if I drag the bar back to the start, it freezes at whatever timestamp I move it to and will not move anymore.

My cache/browsing data is clear, I refreshed the page many times, shut the browser down and started it again, same with the laptop itself, etc., I’m not using a VPN or a browser with an adblocker downloaded, but the problem persists. I opened the app and tried playing through there, and the sound from that did not work when playing through my web browser, but worked when I switched it to “this device”, so the problem is specifically with the web browser again. Unfortunately, I do not always have access to the app like I do with the browser, so I can’t just use the app instead. I would love some help here ❤️

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

 

For the sake of localizing the issue, can you check if the same behavior persists with a different browser or when using the web player on your phone? Does it make a difference where you start the playback from (e.g. from a playlist/album/search results)? Is it the same with podcasts?

 

Make sure to also check your hosts file using this guide.
