Other people can't find my public playlists

I love making playlists and don't want to keep them to myself. That's why I've made my playlists public to other users. However, when I searched for my playlists on a friend's account I couldn't find them. I want people to find my playlists directly through the search and not just via my account.

I'm using Spotify 0.8.5.133 (Unlimited) on Mac OS X 10.5.8.

Not all playlists appear to be available in search, but people should be able to find your profile via your real name as far as I know.

Hello and welcome:

Being able to find you matters in how you setup your account when you registered. You might try this post a Tutorial on how users can find you, https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Community-Blog/Tutorial-Finding-Friends-All-Methods/ba-p/42...

I think the problem many of us are having is that we want the playlists we make public to show up in search results for other Spotify users.  None of my public playlists can be found by my friends (and I'm not talking about sharing, I'm talking about them being in the public search results).  For example, I have a few smaller independent artists that I follow and I've made some playlists that I think showcase their music.  However, when I was on my friend's Spotify account he could not find any of my public playlists...even when there are NO other playlists at all for a particular artist.  I could understand a limit if there are 40,000 Lady Gaga playlists, but for these artists there are few or none, so why would there be any limit? Is there a way to reach Spotify directly to solve this problem?  Thanks for any help.

Sure you can reach spotify this way to this url

https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-support/?contact

and fill out the contact form. If you get an automated response directing you back to the community boards reply back to that email, even if it is from a noreply and a customer support rep will get with you shortly. You can also use twitter if youd like here @SpotifyCares

Hello

I've got the same problem as everyone else here.. i really want my playlist to be searchable. I can't find any of my playlists on my friends account even though i already have followers on my playlists. Stay The Night is one of my playlist that i have, it got 9 followers. When i search for this playlist it comes up like 15 other playlists that has a similar name, and none of them has as much followers as mine. Shoulden't my playlist be easy to find sence mine is more viral and has the exact name that i typed in the search bar? Please solve the problem.

I may have a different problem, that is somewhat similar. I created a spotify account. I also have a facebook, but I don't want to use it anymore. I created a playlist called The Jam. I want to put that playlist on my account that I created. I can't for some odd reason. I log into spotify with my facebook. Make the playlist public, but I still can't find it. I follow myself with my other account. Still cannot find it. HELP!!!

mine does it work aswell, how can i fix it?

Im having the same problem, I know that spotify has lots of playlist, so that makes it really hard to find the one you are looking for. But when Im looking for the exact words of my playlist, Spotify gives me back an error like "that name doesnt exist" or sth like that.

I need this to be fixed.

I've just created a playlist and turn'd public. I can't find it on the search bar neither from the browser neither from the app. Isn't good to know the same problem persists even after 3 years.

The same situation, playlist exists, but nobody except me can find it!!!

Same problem here: I've created 8 playlists, for some brands, and have the same problem... And some of them were already shared.

1 example:
spotify:user:1182675212:playlist:4YPqgCgBiIrvo92AH3WpLf

What can I do?!

Thank you.

I had this issue for years.  Just linked my Facebook (which I had been loath to do because eff Facebook) and voila all my playlists are now all discoverable via other spotify accounts.  Not the answer you probably want if you're like me but it's the only one I've been able to sort out.

oh that's interesting, I may create a fake facebook account then if that's the only way to get indexed by spotify. I have HUNDREDS of playlists, more than 95% are in the same  public-but-invisible-by-search sorry state than everyone, even if those are label with unique names no one else used for their playlists...

oh well, zero change, still almost nothing searchable Guess I'm not popular enough to be worthy of being indexed, facebook or not... if only spotify could stop pretending those playlists are "public", what a sad joke...
