Pause/Play Hot Keys / Space Bar stopped working

Operating System: OSX Sierra

My Question or Issue

My Hot Keys (pause/play/fw/bw) and Space Bar to pause/play music stopped working all of a sudden. To pause/play, I have to click on the actual button manually or go up to Playback > Pause. 

I've logged out, logged back in.

Closed app. Reopened. 

Restore Keyboards via System Preferences to Default Settings.

Not sure what happened there. Anyone else battling the same issue?

I have for some reason been denied access to that thread Loxer has linked. And my music keeps randomly skipping.
