Pause button not working on Mac

I have recently updated my Mac to High Sierra and found that my play/pause, forward and back play buttons wont work for spotify. To fix the problem click on Spotify in the menu bar, then services then system preferences. Once opened go to keyboard on the left hand side and click 'Restore Defaults' in the bottom right hand corner. This should fix the problem.
