Playlist cover and description are "stale" after update

My Issue

I've updated the cover and description of a couple of my own playlists, however as soon as I click away from the playlists and then reselect them, the previous cover and description are shown again (as if the save was unsuccessful). The "stale" cover and descrption are also shown on my iPhone app (iOS 12.4.1 with latest Spotify app updates).

This appears to just be a caching issue, as the new playlist cover and description are correctly displayed in both the web player and my Bose SoundTouch app (which has Spotify integration).

I've tried hitting the "Clear cache" button in the iOS app, rebooting both devices, and just waiting several hours, to no avail.

Ideas anyone?

I ultimately ended up having to reinstall both my iOS and macOS apps to fix this issue. For the latter, I also had to manually delete the Spotify cache folder (incl. all my application preferences etc.).

I’m still keen to know if this expected behaviour or not. Doubt it 😉
