Podcasts are not played on the Mac Desktop, while running perfectly in all other devices

Hello out there. I have spotify installed on My Iphone, a Laptop(Mac), and the IMac.  Never had any mentionnable trouble.   What happens now :

I cannot play Podcasts (tried several german ones) on the Imac, while they work perfectly on the other platforms. This applies only to podcasts, if I choose a song, anyone , from a playlist radio or whatever ... it works. But the podcasts dont. I can choose the the Podcast episode but it just wont start, or I can start it on my Iphone for example, and while it runs switch to the IMac (through the little "connect to device" Icon)  and it will be shown there, at the exact timecode : lets say 26 sec. .. and it will stop playing. I can then push the play or pause button as I want ... that will work normally, but the timeprogression just stays at 26 sec. it just doesn't keep playing. 

Again that applies only to podcasts, any other file is played normally.

Thanks for the post.

I'd recommend doing a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your iMac as a necessary first step. It may be that some corrupted app files are causing this issue. You can follow this Guide.
