Problem with the Play function

My Question or Issue

There is an issue with the Play function in my current version of the Spotify app for Mac OS X. 
Hitting Play (in a playlist, album, etc. through any of the Play buttons available) sometimes freezes the Play function in such a way that Play becomes unavailable afterwards in any new album, playlist, etc.

The only way to recover the Play function is to restart Spotify.

It happens often enough for it to be annoying but I have not found a definite pattern or condition for when it happens.

This has been going on for the two or three updates before the current version as stated above.

Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.

If you're still having trouble, let me know what device this happens on, as well as the current software version.
