Quitting Spotify during playback hangs Spotify after the main window closes, until force-quit

When Spotify has been playing for some time (say 10 minutes) quitting it hangs it. It can only be force-quit.  Every time I need to quit Spotify I have to force-quit it.

I have a crashdump (which gets generated after force-quitting) but would prefer not sharing it on the forum since it contains personal information (applications running at the time of the crash and so forth). Please advise.
