Red Hot Chill Peppers Plays second, no matter what I select

My Question or Issue

I've had an onrunning issue with Spotify on my Mac Desktop. No matter what playlist or choice of songs I select, Spotify will play

- The first song on the playlist

- I Could Die For You by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

- The rest of the playlist

I'm not a RHCP hater, but I'm tiring of the same song, and I can't seem to stop it. 

Only a problem for the Mac Desktop - I'm not having the problem on my iPhone, Amazon Echo, Stereo system -- just the desktop.

Any ideas anyone?

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

Could you perform clean reinstall of your Spotify desktop app? It's a little bit different than regular reinstallation.
Just find your device in this article and follow the steps provided there.
