Regular issues with Spotify app loading VERY slow

I used to have this issue where on a regular basis, Spotify would completely fail to load in a reasonable amount of time.

It's not like I've got a slow internet connection or a slow Mac. I'm using 300mb broadband and I've got a recent Mac with a decent spec.

But every so often Spotify will take like 10-15 minutes to load. In the past I've deleted the cache but there's no cache in Library > Caches related to Spotify now.

I've had similar issues on my PC. And I've spotted a bunch of other threads where people have had similar issues.

What's going on? Please please fix it.
