SPOTIFY QUITTING ON MAC

Every time I open Spotify and click on a song to play it immediately quits the app. I've tried it several times with many different songs. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the application. HELP please!!

Try this :

Click Edit > Preferences

Scroll at the bottom of the preferences page and click : Advanced settings

See at the bottom : Compatibility

 If "Enable hardware acceleration" is enable (green), disable it (grey)

And see if that changes something

If you are a free user :

At the top of Preferences page, section :Music quality > High quality streaming must be disable (grey)

Try a clean reinstall of Spotify to see if this fixes the problem:

When you open up the app, search for Spotify and it will automatically find and delete all files on your computer related to Spotify.

I use it all the time and it's a really great tool. If you ever decide to uninstall an app, the best way is to use this tool.

After that, download and reinstall Spotify.
