Scratching and skipping

Spotify just started sounding scratchy and skipping a little bit like a scratched record. It's really annoying and happens on multiple artists and songs. It doesn't happen on my mobile device, just on the Mac app (which I have already tried re-installing.)

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Can you try performing a clan reinstall of the app, following the device specific steps in this Spotify Answer? This is different than a normal reinstallation, as it involves clearing all app data.

If that does not help can you let us know if this is still happening when you connect to another network, like a mobile Hotspot or use a different account (You can create a free test account)?

Also, does it happen both on downloaded and live streamed content.
