See what friends playing / Find Friends box won't go away

Sidebar showing what friends I've added are listening too is greyed out. The "See what your friends are playing / find friends" box at the top won't go away. I've already chosen which friends I'd like to follow. Tried disconnecting from facebook to test if that would fix the issue, but it didn't.
