Selecting songs in playlists links to wrong part of playlist

For several months now I have been experiencing the following bug:

My main playlist is ordered by date in descending order - i.e., most recently added songs at the top. If a song is playing from this playlist and I click on the album artwork which should then link me to that song in the playlist, I am instead linked to the place in the playlist where the song WOULD be if it were ordered by ascending date (i.e., most recent songs at the bottom). This is generally hundreds of songs away from the song I actually wanted to select, meaning I have to scroll up until I see the green text to indicate that I'm at the song that's actually currently playing.

This must be annoying for a lot of users and is adversely affecting the way I've used Spotify for years. Hoping someone can help! Cheers.
