Smart Google devices not showing up in Connect list

My Question or Issue

When I play music from the Mac desktop app and try to connect to any speaker in the house, none of them show up! When I look at connected devices on my Android Pixel. they all show up, including speaker pairs.

Why is this happening? I have to go on my phone, connect to the speaker pair then manage back on the mac app. It's so annoying. 

I'm a premium user, but when logged into this community, in the top right corner, there is a button that says "get premium" not sure if that is shown for everyone or not.

With broken links on how to fresh install the mac app. I deleted the app, reinstalled and then rebooted. Maybe not the right order, but the problem still happens
