Solution Spotify Desktop App slow on Mac

I followed the steps below and it sped it up considerably, intended to post on original thread in reference to app running slow but it was locked, if solution has since been posted in another thread then I apologize but thought I'd share the knowledge if not.

Hi,

I also followed all of the detailed steps however when I copied and pasted the '~/Library/Caches/com.spotify.client/' I did not see the 'com.spotify.client' folder?

Can anyone help??
