Spotify App Malfunctioning in Safe Mode on Mac

My Question or Issue:

I have switched into safe mode on my mac as a solution to my bluetooth constantly connecting and disconnecting. However, now my Spotify app is malfunctioning: the sound works perfectly, but the graphics are completely off: some things such as the play bar don't even appear and other pictures aren't appearing or are overlapping etc. This was not a problem when my mac wasn't in safe mode. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
