My Question or Issue
I just downloaded the Spotify desktop client, but when I go to run it, I'm just greeted with a blank screen (see attachment). I can resize the window to a certain extent, but I'm unable to move it. Under the Spotify menu, About Spotify, Preferences, Private Session, Offline Mode, and Log Out are all disabled.
I deleted the ~/Library/caches/com.spotify.client folder, deleted the app, and reinstalled it, but that did not resolve the issue.
Hey @thekerker, welcome to the Community.
Hope you are doing great!
Try to disable Hardware Acceleration, just click on the spotify Menu in your Menu Bar next to the Apple Menu, just find Hardware Acceleration and next click on it to disable then confirm to restart Spotify.
Let me know how it goes 🙂
Thank you for the reply and suggestion. I disabled Hardware Acceleration, restarted Spotify, but have the same result.
On a hunch, I switched the system wide theme back to Light from Dark, but that did not have an impact.
Hey there,
That's odd!
Could you try creating another user account in your Mac and install Spotify there?
Does this happen if you try another network connection?
Let me know how it goes 🙂
