Hi guys,
So after a clean install of Spotify (even after AppCleaner) and a quick reboot of my Router and even plugging my speaker into LAN mode, I believe I have exhausted all my options.
Has Spotify updated as of recently? This functionality worked 2-3 days ago, and now I cannot make it work on either my MAC nor iOS device.
Regards!

Don't bother man, they're not going to fix it, neither is Pioneer. I invested in the Chromecast Audio...
Same problem here, it has never worked flawlessly for me before but now I don't get any sound at all and have to use the app "Stream what you hear" to get music from it.
So far, it was working without a hitch, after I'm guessing an update, I can only stream stuff over AirPlay.
Thanks for the reply, hopefully the Spotify crew will see this.
I've got the same problem with my VSX-924 device. The problem occured now within 1-2 days. So far I've unplugged the receiver tens of times, deleted all Spotify cache on my phone, restarted phone etc. Maybe after all it has something to do with Spotify servers? I haven't received any updates on the device itself since it's an old one.
Guys, I believe we have a MAJOR issue with Pioneer devices and Spotify Connect support. Please, read these posts on another thread. There is no way this is happening!

Yeah, big no-no on Spotify's part...
Same issue on my end. I played the Spotify this morning and Pioneer A3 Spotify connect can not recieve my request....
Last summer I got some announcment that SPotify will not support Pioneer devices anymore. I was thinking to move to Apple music and purchase a new Apple speaker. I gave up because Spotify did work on my Pioneer. Now I have to move to Apple music.
Such a stupid move for Spotify. Although maybe only small percantage of they customers use these devices.
Also never got it... And my Pioneer is still like brand new basically, now having to spend another 250eur+ on a new speaker... Just why?
Same problem here....
Spotify doesnt see the speaker at all.

The XW-SMA3 has Airplay built in. I just use that but, it is annouying as, overall, Spotify Connect works great on all other things it works on. Pioneer or Spotify blew it with Amazon Alexa breathing down all the AV manufacturers necks. Indeed, Spotify on Alexa devices works fantastically.
They killed it on a bunch of brands. No explanation.

This is a poorly thought out decision by Spotify and Pioneer. Spotify chose not to at least keep our 3-5 year old audio systems compatable (at least give us a decade or longer) and Pioneer has chosen not to do a firmware update on anything. Yamaha and others, apparenlty are doing updates.

What Spotify and Pioneer seem to miss is this means consumers start to loose faith in these types of branded wireless connections. Why should the consumer be impressed to buy this Spotify magic if it seems to kill off my expensive audio device in less then 5 years (let alone 10 or more).
This is no way to build a brand and a strategic blunder.
