My Question or Issue

Spotify Connect to Sonos keeps stopping. Steps

1. Select Connect to Device > Family Room Sonos speaker group

2. Play a song from Spotify desktop app. 

Result:

song plays for 9 seconds.

or

song plays for 30 seconds then skips to the next song

 

No song will play to completion

I know this sounds obvious, but would you mind performing a clean reinstall of the app on your Macbook by following the steps outlined here? This can solve many common problems that our users experience.

 

Could you also try restarting your Sonos speaker if you haven't already? Another thing worth trying is connecting to Sonos from another device (not your Macbook) and seeing if the issue persists.

I have the same problem.  I can use Spotify Connect on my android phone and ipad app but it is not available on the mac desktop app.  The speakers show up but are greyed out and I can't select them.  This is a new problem as I've never had any trouble with the desktop app.  I've done clean re-installs of both the Spotify and Sonos Desktop apps.  Any other ideas?  Thanks.
