Spotify Helper crashes several times a day, consuming 100% CPU

My Question or Issue

The Spotify Helper processes crashes several times a day. On one particular day, it crashed 20 times (see screenshot). This problem causes macOS's ReportCrash tool to run continuously consuming 100% of one CPU core. It's so bad that I had to write a custom script that monitors ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports for new crash files and kill Spotify whenever it happens.
