Spotify Premium: Announcments are ADVERTS please remove.

Please remove the announcments on the browse page that keep popping up and interferring with the UI. Clicking on the hide announcements buttons have no impact and they keep reoccurring.

These are advertisments; they are not announcements as I do not care or wish to know that Bruno Mars has released new tracks on Spotify. I do not need to know nor do I care that Katie Perry has done some special... all of these adverts or "announcements" as you call them should only be in the news section. I do not feel that I'm paying for an "advertisement free" service when these announcements keep popping up and interferring with the positionings of all the UI controls on the browse page. 

At the very least please put a setting in that stops announcements altogether. None of them are relevant to me and I don't need to see them; and I thought that paying for a premium service I wouldn't get advertisements such as these.

This looks like Spotify are being a bit sneaky here:

I did a test upgrade to Premium from unlimited and found that the preferences unlock a new toggle button

"Show announcements about new releases"

So is this a new policy by Spotify to introduce Adverts for Paying customers?
