Spotify app is frozen on iPhone. Keeps saying 'waiting'

My spotify app is just saying waiting and i cannot access my music.  Please advise what to do

Try restarting your device by holding down the home and lock buttons together until the apple logo appears on screen. Any better after that?

Have you tried reinstalling the app at all?
