Spotify causing iCloud sync to hang

On MacBook Air M2, latest OS 26.1, Spotify desktop app is causing iCloud sync to hang ("uploading one item, 0 of 87kb"). As soon as I quit Spotify, the iCloud sync completes. As soon as I re-open Spotify the issue re-appears. 

I've already disabled local files, quit 'bird' via Activity Monitor, and rebooted. No change.

Based on my experience, I don't think Spotify affects iCloud sync or uses it for any feature on macOS. Could you please share a screenshot so I can take a better look? Please hide any private info. 🙂
