Spotify closes immediately, only when connected to internet.

My Question or Issue

Spotify closes immediately whenever I try to open it if I am connected to the internet. It briefly shows a blank screen with a notice on the top of the screen that says "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it." then closes. If I open the app with wifi turned off it opens fine, but as soon as I connect to the internet the app closes.

Thanks for the post.

Sounds like there might be some corrupted app files. It's best you run a clean reinstall of the app, following this Guide. Note that this issue might be arising from your outdated OS as well.
