The App opens a installer and starts downloading everytime it is launched.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

I'd also recommend updating to macOS Catalina 10.15 if possbile 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

It's still happening. Spotify version is 1.1.16.522.g55a4b852.

I tried updating but it's failing. Also can't update to catalina now because of company policy. Please suggest.

Could you try updating to 1.1.17?

Also, to be clear it downloads the songs you made available for offline listeting when you open the app, right?
