Spotify discover weekly still not updating

Spotify discover weekly started acting weird in the last few weeks. There are several topics regarding this subject, but none offer a solution that works for me and it really acts weird.

3 weeks ago: discover weekly not updated (it kept showing 7 days ago etc).

2 weeks ago: Discover weekly finally updated, at least so it seems. It said it was renewed, but the playlist was exactly the same.

1 week ago: updated, but the playlist still the same, but just in another order....

This is getting a bit annoying. I tried reinstalling spotify, i am following the discoer weekly playlist and restarted spotify. 

 I'm using spotify on a mac with Sierra.
