Spotify is unable to play music after Bluetooth mode switch

Operating System MacOS 10.15.5 (19F101)

I'm using a BT headset (Bose QC35). Whenever I join a conference call my headset switches from A2DP to Headset mode. Once I stop using my Mic the Headphone switches back to A2DP. When I had Spotify open during the call I'm unable to play music (song cannot be played) until I restart Spotify. If I play music while the mic is being activated and deactivated the audio stream continues to work.
