We recommend that you reinstall Spotify from here instead of the link shared on this thread.
Once you install the app, restart your device and let us know if the said behavior persists.

If you experience a sudden glitch in Spotify followed by the “Application not responding” message, perform a clean reinstall of the client. It can be due to an overloaded cache.
