Hi there @Gedora,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Can you try running a clean reinstall of the app, following the steps in this Spotify Guide.

If that doesn't change anything let us know if you can stream music normally from the Web player.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

I did try as you suggested, but same error came after few hours, it does work from browser

Hey @Gedora,

Thanks for getting back to us with that info.

Can you try to clear any entries that contain Spotify from your host files? Follow the steps from this post here. These can sometimes cause connectivity issues for the app.

Let us know if that helped and the exact version of you Spotify app after the update.

Cheers.

Hi @Gedora,

Thanks for the quick reply and for going through this troubleshooting process with us.

Can you try to log in with a different account? You can ask a friend/family member to log in with theirs or create a new free account for test purposes.

Apart from that, try connecting your computer to a mobile hotspot. This way we can check if this issue is related to your network connection.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

2 computers both mac, not on the same address, in different apartments on different networks, both Mojave same error, I don't have any local songs, only play what's in Spotify, keeps telling me its offline, you are welcome to remotely connect to my computer, on windows it works flawlessly on the same network

2 mac with different accounts, one in the living room have a separate account so I don't need to switch from what I have on my mobile if I am out on the bicycle and want in my living room to be able to listen to music other than my account on mobile

Hi there @Gedora,

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately we won't don't offer remote access support.

Can you try the following:

1. Uninstall Spotify
2. Go to /Library/Application Support/ and delete the Spotify folder
3. Go to /Library/Caches/ and delete the folder com.spotify.client and com.spotify.client.helper
4. Install Spotify again

You can also let us know the current version of your Spotify app.

Note that this might be caused by some setting on the current OS you're running. Do you have the possibility to update to Big Sur on one of your devices?

Cheers.

we tried to uninstall as the first remedy and it didn't remove the error I am getting, what setting you think can impact Spotify from my Mojave OS? I am a programmer feel free to go deep in technical terms.
I cant upgrade to BigSur as I have dependant applications that is not supported in the new OS, please am I the only and first who reported this issue??

as for the version it is stated in the firs post

Hi @Gedora,

Thanks for the reply.

There is one other thing that could be causing this issue. If you're using a VPN try disabling that.

Keep us posted.
