Spotify locked while connected via bluetooth in car

This issue is related to the iPhone app! Once the iPhone is connected via bluetooth to my Kenwood headunit in the car, the spotify control on the iPhone is blocked. In the app only a lock screen with the Spotify logo in the middle appears! How can I change this?
