Spotify must be restarted every time I change sound device

Greetings,

As the title states, I find it quite annoying to restart Spotify simply because I change sound device. It is specifically bluetooth related, as far as I have observed. It will state that it cannot play the song I was just playing. Restarting the program fixes it.

Any tips? All my programs are working perfectly regarding audio devices, it's only Spotify.

I'm using Spotify Premium.

Device

Macbook Pro late 2013.

Operating System

Catalina, but has occurred during the last four OS'es, at least.
