Spotify not loading up songs that are not saved although I am online

My spotify has always worked fine until now when i cant listen to anything that is not saved. i can search for songs and cue them but they dont play and sometimes just show as a blank bar in the cue list. I am online and connected to facebook but my friends list at the right of the screen are not showing. 

I have tried to uninstall and delete all caches but it has worked once for a few hours and there was a notification about an ip address.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Make sure that you're on macOS Mojave 10.14.6.
