Spotify on Mac - It's just not working

Spotify on Mac - It's just not working

I've been using Spotify a lot since I got it about a year ago. However, a few months after installing it on my Mac, I started to notice a problem. When I'm on my Mac, if I go to the playlists I have created, or the ones I listen to, there are only about 1 or 2 songs in the playlist, whereas if I go onto my phone, everything is fine. Also, if I add certain songs, I'll be able to view them on my phone and not my Mac.  In the photo below (this was taken on my Mac), you'll see only 1 song in the playlist, even though the playlist should have 18 songs on it.

Thanks for posting on the Community about this. 
 

If you can't see the full content of your playlist it's a good idea to try running a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device. This way you'll get the app updated to the latest version and make use of all recent updates. 

 

Another thing worth trying is cleaning up the hosts file of your Mac. Follow the steps described here on how to do that.
