Spotify on Mac randomly plays songs and skips by itself

Hey guys,
I've been noticing this happen to my Spotify Desktop application for Mac OSX, and when I have the application open on my computer the app randomly starts playing songs in my playlist and even skipping to the next track without letting it finish.

I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch (Early 2015) running on OSX High Sierra and I have the latest Spotify version 1.0.7. 

I have tried deleting the application & reinstalled it and even after the reinstall this still happens. I have also tried to look for a Cache file on my Macbook but strangely I can't find it......

Would be great to hear some input or feedback on why this is happening and how I can solve it
