Spotify opens then crashes Mac Desktop App

My Question or Issue

I'm sure some of you have seen this issue before, but it won't seem to stay fixed on my computer.

Basically, I open the Spotify desktop app on my iMac and it instantly crashed. 

I already did the fix in the link below, it worked for a few days and is now doing it again. I tried the fix again and now Spotify just won't open.

have been having the same problem for 3 weeks no fixes work

i've been having the same problem for weeks now. scrolled through all the posts in this forum to no avail. saw some people reccommending to downgrade to earlier versions of spotify, so i decided to try it and its working fine now.

i just googled Spotify version (1.0.99) and downloaded it off the web and it seems to be a temporary fix 🙂
